“Into the Canyon” documentary film, followed by a Q & A Panel Discussion

Date: March 21, 2024
Time: 17:45 - 20:30
Location: ART HOUSE @ 492 E. 13th Ave., Eugene OR 97401

The documentary movie, Into the Canyon, is about a 750 mile hiking trip, along the length of the Grand Canyon, made by two friends: Kevin Fedarko (author of The Emerald Mile) and Pete McBride (Filmmaker and Photographer). But it “was more than just an endurance test — it was also a way to draw attention to the unprecedented threats facing one of our most revered landscapes.”

Join me, before the movie, where I will have a table in the lobby with information on Oregon’s Grand Canyon, the Owyhee Canyon, and the efforts to create an Owyhee Canyonlands National Monument. You can also sign a petition supporting these most recent efforts.

Following  the movie, I will be part of a panel to answer any questions you might have about the threats to the Owyhee Canyon and answer any FAQ’s about the creation of an Owyhee Canyonlands National Monument.

Join me and the Great Old Broads for Wilderness at PIELC! to Protect the Owyhee!

If you’re already on board for protecting the Owyhee, we make it easy for you to sign the petition and/or mail a postcard to your representative for this latest effort. If you are uncertain, and need more information, we have a FAQ sheet that will probably answer your questions. And if it doesn’t, we will! We’d love to see you.
